instrument panel has a mind of its own
Ok so I just got a 91 Chevy S10 blazer, my problem is when I switch on my lights my instrument cluster zeros out. I have no cluster lights either, switch on the high beams and the lights go out completely. My stereo has insufficient power while the vehicle is running, I have a constant brake warning light on, when the lights are on cluster isn't lit etc my turn signal arrows are at a constant but continue to work and blink when engaged. When my door is open everything works fine except for the stereo and high beams.
New development: I just bought and replaced all dome/courtesy lights, they're all at a constant. No manual or dimmer switch affects them. The door jam only dims them.
PLEASE HELP!!!

one thing you can check is i had a similar issue is there is a ground wire on the very bottom left side of the dash that comes loose and causes all sorts of issues. so just basically lay on the floor and look up and it should be a screw facing up
