Default Junction block wire

This wire broke, burnt something. Can I solder it or do I need to replace the whole thing.

That's a fusible link. That section of wire needs to be replaced with another fusible link of the same size.

Figured that out after some research. I guess better question. Can I solder fusible wire to fusible wire or do I have to cut it after the plastic clip and redo it there. Every video shows after it.

I would cut the whole thing out, including the plastic thing, and crimp or solder the new one to the red wire. But I'm not entirely sure what the "right" way is to do it.
