I am absolutley a newb when it comes to distance lights and trucks. Im not a newb to forums and tryed searching multiple times. I am looking for distance lights that are bright that i can mount to the front pillars on the truck that will give me good sight on the beach at night. Max 6.5" diameter. I dont know any other light brands other then Hella and they dont make one small enough. I can wire them in myself but if anyone has any helpful tips they are always appreciated. Any input would be great. Thank you.

I have 4 KC daylighters on my light bar, they are about 6.5" OD and they are 'long range' lights. (Also known as a pencil beam.) They will light up things at +500'.

Or you can go with the cheapo's. It's really up to you, I'd check out the KC site and see what's avalible.

By the way, how are you going to mount them on the A-pillars?

Aren't pencil beams more like spot lights? Or will they give me a semi wide view? Remember im only looking to do 2 not 4. And whatever mounting hardware the light comess with im going to sink a bolt through the bottom of it and drill and bolt it to the A pillar.

Yeah, pencil beams are spot lights. You can go with driving lights, which will give you a wide beam that also goes out far, but they are usually more expensive.

Some brands I know of are: hella, piaa, kc, lightforce, and the cheap ones you can find on ebay, amazon, or at your local parts store.

You can also consider led off road lights. They are really expensive, but put out an amazing amount of light for how much power they draw. If you want to look into these I'd check out Rigid Lighting.
