Default Lights on stock roof rack?

Anyone ever mount off road lights to their stock roof rack. Thinking of sliding the cross bar all the way forward and mounting some lights on it. Just wondered if anyones ever tried it.

There are some threads where guys have done it. I considered it myself, but that's where I carry my canoe, and transport stuff that's too large to fit in the back. If you ever plan on using the rack to carry stuff, you might wanna put the lights somewhere else, like on the bumper, or a push bar or something

I searched this yesterday, because I prefer light up toward the front. heres a link to light setups. https://blazerforum.com/forum/off-ro...-see-em-47130/

I personally think this was is to far back, but there is some set ups for you to look at. I'm looking at the carr lightbar style the one guy has done in here.

I mounted 2 lights pointing backwards on the stock roof rack. I have a couple extra cross bars so I just drilled 2 holes in one of them and bolted the lights on. It works fine for the rear. I think the lights would be too far back in the front though
