Does anyone have a stock roof rack with any upgrades to it?

I am looking for the slider parts and the crossbars that will actually be able to handle some weight and if you do have one how much did you payand from where?. Not going to trust the factory ones with a kayak or snowboards. Also looking for a rack that can handle attachments.

Look for racks from either Yakima or Thule.

 

Snowboards should be fine on the stock roofracks, I have carried many things on my stock racks. I would look at yakima or thule for a universal or stock fiting adapters. I found some ski racks at a local garage sale that just happen to fit the blazer roof rack. Otherwise a kayak should do fine too, I have carried a 150lbs 10' long x 5.5' wide cardboard boat on my roof racks with no problems other than straping it down. Here's a pic:
