Sometimes buying new sockets for the led's is much less painful than trying to get wires to touch. I had to buy all new 1/2 inch sockets for my 194's, but it was well worth it knowing that I wouldn't have a problem putting them in. Just something to think about...

 

Leds are FAR more reliable than incandescent bulbs when proper circuitry is implemented. The issue with most leds in automotive applications is they are not run with a constant current source. Leds are very sensitive to small voltage changes, and due to the nature of a vehicles charging and electrical system, the voltage spikes and dips quite often. This causes damage and eventually the leds fail. Cheap china leds fail far easier than reliable manufacturers (Cree, Phillips) because the quality control is non-existent.

So don't believe that leds are all still junk. Just the cheap ones with cheap electric components.

 

He clearly just has no idea what he is talking about, at all. if LED's were so bad, all the most expensive car makers would not use them for tail lights, headlights ect.
