Default Radio blinking.

2000 Bravada, I got it from my buddy and he hard wired an aftermarket radio in it but kept it and gave me the old radio but not the harness that goes with it... Anyway I got a new harness and am attempting to rewire it back correctly. Power is orange, ground is black, and ignition is dark green. Well I wired these three together just to test it and the clock and radio display just blinks the time or station. I hooked the radio ignition wire to constant power and it stays on fine. Fuses are fine and I tried unplugging the battery and letting it set but still the same issue. Help please?

I did, the clock only blinks too and I have to push a button within the milisecond that it's on but it it turns off too fast to change anything. I can switch between stations and that it.

You may want to check and make sure that the ground wire is secured properly.

Ground is fine, like I said I hooked the ignition wire right to the live wire and it stayed on fine, when hooked to the ignition wire it would only blink on and off every couple seconds.
