removing sensors for reading drivers door open
I've removed the door plunger for the drive side and left the other 3 in. I want to be able to open my door and leave the radio on. Eventually install a single button on the dash that will act as the door plunger so I can kill it when I want. My problem is I've removed the plunger and my drivers door still kills the radio and other things when I open it. Almost as if there is a sensor in the handle. Anybody know if that's true or if there is any other sensors for reading that a door is being open. It's a 2001 4door blazer

My first attempt was to glue the plunger in like the door was constantly closed and it still acted like it was reading the door so I completely pulled the plunger. I assume it's not the plunger I'm fighting because if it was I think every time I shut the key off it would read the door open and kill the radio but it doesn't. It almost sounds like there might be a sensor in the handle because that's when the radio dies when I have the handle almost all the way out to open the door. But radio still dies before the door is actually moved. If any body has some experience with the latch sensor it would be great to get some tips on removing it or deactivating it so it doesn't read any more

Not 100% sure but it has something to do with pulling up on door handle.I have a 2001 LS Blazer I can just pull up on the handle the interor lights come on with out opening it.With so much sh** hook up together as one..It`s hard to tell. But there`s a device that hooked up with the radio that activates the chimes and dome lights. Not quite sure what it`s called. But for an example the same part has to stay in place when and if you replace your stock radio with a aftermarket.I would just take it to a mechanic that knows how to fix anything.
