I understand your frustration....this issue was the worse i have ever dealt with...felt helpless as i poked around in hopes i would find the problem. If the battery is disconnected you should be fine disconnecting the bcm. I would check the pcm...how about the ground at the fire wall on pass side...is it in place. Your guy might be better then my dealership exp...they were useless....they wanted to keep tearing the truck apart....when i realized they were hunting like i was i halued it back home.

after reading everything and searching thru wires and trying to figure out a solution i think my only choice left is to go to the stealership and cut off a leg or an arm

ok i walked down the street and talked to one of the mechanics at the chevy dealership and he advised me to put some di electric grease on some of the components in the fuse block to see if maybe there isnt a strong enough connection and told me to check the lines for a break in a wire before i bring it in so as ive been advised many times on here as well as others im going to check it out again...time for round 6..hopefully this will lead in a better direction and maybe ill find something ive overlooked

ok after doing some research and speaking to some people i found a guy locally who is very good with electrical issues not to mention fair priced and he told me that all my symptoms add up to a data line short he just had a blazer in there that had the exact same thing going on with it in his shop so id like to thank everyone who took the time to read my post and warthog for taking the time to answer me you were right on the money with the wiring

well i am glad you finally found away to deal with this. i would be interested to find where the failure was.

like i said...i hate electrical issues more then anything. that is why with the exception of my wives jeep all three of "my" cars are from the mid 90's. just enough electrical for me thank you very much.
