Default Stupid question

so im installing my sound system and i want to hide the distribution block in the body of my 02 blazer. Even though the metal of the block will not directly touch the metal body of my blazer, im worried about it shorting out by either 1.) arcing to the body or 2.) a strand of power wire fraying off and touching or arcing to the body. My question is: is this something that i have to worry about, or will it just blow in in-line fuse by the battery if it shorts out as opposed to blow my amp. I guess i can always just electrical tape the whole mess, but i would prefer something a little cleaner and reversible in case i have to get back to my d-block.
