Default trailer light help no brake

Hey guys im new to the forums and i have a 1997 2 door blazer that has the tow package with the wires for trailers on the underside and i am having issues with the brake lighting. I hooked everything up and i have running lights and turnsignals but no brake lights. Its not the trailer because ive tried it on multiple trailers and even got new lights and it still doesnt work. Please help. thanks
