Default Under Hood Light Not Working After AHL Resistor Added

Like the title says, I put my resistor (2.2k ohm 1/2 watt) in just like I was supposed to and success! The automatic headlights don't come on anymore!! Well, I just so happened to have my new LED lights from superbrightleds come in the mail shortly after. I played with them inside then went to test on the car and pop the hood and now I don't have an underhood light anymore.

Now I know that I can go get a magnetic one and just put it on the hood when i need it or something like that, but that's annoying. I want the light underneath to come on! Has anyone else encountered this/have a solution?

Thanks guys :3

I know my socket was a little finicky when I messed with it. Try to jiggle the bulb and see if it will come on. I believe that it gets constant power and the switching mech. is a gravity / tilt thingy inside the bulb housing. Play with it to see if you can get any results.
