Default Weird wiring issue

So I have a 2001 GMC Jimmy 2 door. A couple weeks ago, my wife and I were leaving a basketball game, and the door locks started to lock and unlock by themselves. Shortly after that, the rear window washer fluid pump started running on its own. The next morning, all of these things were still happening, and the rear hatch started to release on its own as well. I realized that the rear wiper switch was in the low speed on position, as it had been snowing the previous night when we had left the game. Once the switch was turned off, everything stopped going haywire. However, due to whatever wiring issue this is, the power locks will not work, the rear hatch won't release (unless I turn the rear wiper on), and now the radio won't work.

Does anyone have an idea of what this could be? It only goes nuts if the wiper is turned on. And once I turn it on, the rear hatch releases if I press the washer fluid button.

My mechanic spent a good amount of time and couldn't figure out the issue without tearing the whole dashboard apart.

I guess what I'm asking is has anyone ever come across anything like this before? Or does anyone have any idea of what it could be?

Wiring issues are never fun, but you definitely have a wiring issue. And with so many of the systems not really being related to each other... It isn't going to be fun or cheap to find the source of the problem. The problem likely is located under the dash though.

My advice would be to find a shop that specializes in electrical work (doesn't have to be an automotive repair shop) and let them take a crack at it.

Thanks! We're trying to sell it anyways, so I'm trying not to dump a ton of money into it before we get rid of it. I may have a shop take a look at it anyways.. Our shop was completely baffled by it.. lol
