Default What is this cable? Connected to back of gauge cluster

I'm fixing an 84 K5 Blazer for my pops. The radio didn't work, so I pulled it out and he got it fixed (wanted to keep it original). To ease the removal of the radio, I removed the HVAC controls.

Now that I am putting everything back together, I see the below wire just hanging out

If you follow it, it connects to the back of the gauge cluster, right behind the fuel gauge. I have no idea where this connects to.

Any ideas?

Was it attached to the hvac controls? Wondering if maybe it goes past the gauges and to the vent on the kick panel

It was not attached to the HVAC controls.

I found out what it is. It is a light pipe. There are about 10 little plastic or glass tubes inside this that help light up something. When I turned the headlights on, I noticed this.

I just tucked it behind the gauge cluster where I found it. I didn't want to have to pull anything else out.
