I have been checking out used cars the last few days, & I have decided to go with either a Chevy Cavalier or Malibu 2000-05. I don't want a rubber band motor which the earlier Hyundai's were. The 2.2L Cavalier motor has a chain & if I was to go with the Malibu the 3.1L V6 would be a must for me. Both these engines are 250,000 mile motors. I put 258,000 on a Lumina with a 3.1L V-6. A friend of mine put over 200,000 on a Cavalier 2.2L.
