Angry avoid autozone

in MHO everyone should avoid getting brake calipers from autozone I dont care if they are the cheapest they use thread locker on the bleeder screws so when you try and bled them you end up rounding the darn thing and you have to take it off again and hope like hell you can get the screw out a real PIA

use a socket instead of a wrench next time when you're breaking them loose always works better for me

I love Autozone as much as Walmart, two of my favorite places to shop.
but a person needs to be wise at what one buys from either store..

All are true thoughts and responses and the socket option is really the only way to go.

Socket but I agree, autozone sucks. Crap parts and they dont stock things for my trucks. Boo on them.

You could have opened the box and noticed the blue threadlocker on the bleeders and asked the salesman to crack them open for you then bought them. I dont think its worth boycotting them over. Its not like their calipers are made of paper or plastic.

auto zone is ok.. I prefer advance auto, and if they don't have what I'm looking for usually auto zone does. I still prefer both over pep boys, they are the ones who sell the cheap stuff. Don't think I'll ever buy any parts for my truck from pep boys other than my tires. It just bothers me when companies slogans are "we do everything for less"

My problem with places like autozone and Kragen the people who work there, usually kids....
But yeah you have to know what your doing, I would never buy certain things there, and they dont carry alot of better quality parts...it is the lower end.
But they are ok for somethings.
