Default Dodge Ram 1500 Squeak

I know, it's not a Blazer, but my old man needs some assistance (extended blazer family ). He has a 2007 4wd 1500 that squeaks like a **** whenever he hits something as small as a crack in the road. If I jump on the bumper it makes a noise that (as best as I can describe) sounds like a donkey. Heeehaww heeehaww. Or a squeaky bed I guess. I did some searching and found that sway bar links and bushings have caused it for some people, but after some lube it did nothing. If anyone has any ideas, it'd be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Steve

Get a mechanics stethoscope & have someone rock the vehicle while you listen to various suspension parts. It could still be bushings & the lube hasn't gotten to the squeeky part yet. Could be a shock or it's bushings, control arm bushings, ball joint, maybe even body panels or bolts attached to something close to the suspension or just loose.

Alright, thanks. I'll have him jump on the bumper later today and see what I can find. I did hit the control arm bushings too and as far as I know it's still squeaking.

A lot of the time to get lubrication to the proper or annoying spot they have to be dismantled & lubed.

That's what I was thinking when I was spraying it the first time...along with, "Damn it's cold!" I'll have to clean out the garage before I start taking things apart. Gotta love a heated garage...

I forgot to mention, He took it to belle tire and they couldn't figure out what it was. So I'm guessing it's not the suspension, but something that they usually don't have to repair. I'll feel really smart when I fix a squeak that certified techs couldn't find though. I'll let you guys know what I come up with.
