However, you guys have forgotten to list the one thing that you will always need when doing a mud run.. A BUDDY in another Blazer or 4X4 truck.

Nothing sucks worse than having to walk out of the woods and trying to find someone to get you out.

But KUDOS to Bunny for bringing it up!
Yeah what he said---lol-- and ditto on the Kudos to Ms. Bunny for bringing up the MOST important of topics this time of year especially! Could mean the difference between life and death hypothermia-wise more than anything else!

Cell phones are great if you can get reception but most places over here where the good mud bogging is there is no cell reception so normally VHF radios or a CB are used, as for MRE's when I go out there is usually a rifle in the back so food aint a problem

I'll probably have a gun someday. Unfortunately we're a little different with our weapons up here in Canada lol. I don't think it's as easy to get as down in the US. I've never looked into it before though. Hmm, maybe someday.
I do carry a knife in my truck though. It's come in handy lots of times (not for defensive reasons lol)

5 things always in truck? hmm
registration
insurance

gloves
change

Things i always grab before i roll out:
cell phone(ALWAYS)

If i ever get stuck I know quite a few people in 4x4's or a source of wheels of some sort, being in the suburbs your surrounded by a gas station on every corner for the most part
