Everyday driver or weekend toy?

who here on the forum originally bought their blazer, jimmy, bravada for an everyday driver vehicle or a winter vehicle, and now it is becoming your toy?
I bought my 96 blazer for a winter truck because I own a 96 and a 98 mustang and a 98 caddy sts. My current mods are locking rear diff, 03 x engine swap, 98 front end conversion. My future mods are cast iron front diff with a locker and a lift kit. I seem to be putting more money and time into my everyday driver than my toy's. Or is the blazer becoming another one of my toy's, lol?

My theory is this any car u can come to love can quickly and easily become a "toy". Also the blazer fills a spot the cars can't, you can beat on the blazer and they come back for more and u do that to a stang and it is a 4 k bill lol.
Got it for the ex to drive, and cause it was a good deal.
Drive it daily till I find an S10 again that I like or another beater blazer.
Will be the resto-toy come wintertime, already collecting the new goodies.

just put a pitman arm in mine today, cost me $47, TRW brand. E-bay sells complete front end kits for a little over a $100. I guess you cant measure safety in dollars and cents.

I had a '79 camaro that I put a lot of work into, but never really got the attachment. It was a pretty sweet car too, but it just didn't quite click with me. My Jimmy was a winter truck, and when my camaro sold I started putting more attention into the Jimmy. I can honestly say I like my jimmy more than my camaro. I get more enjoyment out of it, it's more practical, plus modifying/fixing the jimmy is a lot cheaper than the camaro.
