Default Electric Blazer

Time for all of us to put our powers together and create an electric blazer.
I would love to see that in the builds forum soon.

I filled up today,
14.75 nok per liter
1 us dollar = 5.28 nok
51 liter = 13.47 gallon = 752.25 Nok = $142.47
= 135.54 (for the canandians here )

$10.58 /gallon (10.06 canadian)

I just drove from Denver, Co to St. Paul, MN and it cost me $500 in gas. The good news is that got a 14' uhaul truck (packed full) w/ a car on a trailer, along w/ my wife driving the Blazer here.

Its times like these I'm happy my work is 3 miles from my house and the grocery store and everything else is withing the 10 mile mark. Its a sad time when it takes almost 20 bucks to fill up a ATV..

You could always move to Venezuela it only costs .08 cents a gallon.

Technically GM already did one on the S-Series platform. There is a guy here in phoenix that goes to the pavillions car show every Saturday night that has a 97 S10 with a factory installed electric motor. From what they guy was saying it goes about 100 miles on a charge if ya have the factory power limiter on which makes it a gutless wonder (think power of the 4 cylinder S10) and ya can only do 70mph. If ya turn that off its rather quick (nearish what the V6's perform at) and can do 100mph but ya drain the battery in about 30-40 miles.

In any event, though its been done and its cheap to charge but like most electric vehicles its completely impractical. Much as I hate to say it a hybrid powerplant would be the best solution.

Better get use to high fuel costs. I see UPS & Fed X are raising their fuel surcharge fees. I see gas going over $4.25 very soon everywhere, not just in some places like now. But I'm going to just keep driving & using up my share of the gas.
