Exclamation Harbor freight jack stands recall

I want to pass along a news story I just saw. Harbor Freight is recalling 454000 jack stands because they may collapse.

https://www.foxnews.com/aut...for-risk-of-collapse

The actual recall notice is available at

https://images.harborfreigh...6371_61196_61197.pdf

I hope no one gets maimed or killed.

Wow!

Thank you for sharing. I've had great luck with my Harbor Freight bought power tools so far, but they don't weigh a ton with my laying under them either.

where were you a month ago when I fought my front end on my escort? FYI broken tie rod ends don't help dollies for front wheels stay in position. it was a nightmare but I survived. and so did the little wheel dollies.
And for all the work he did hell I would weld the pauls and call it good.

Op, thanks for the post. I checked mine then I told my neighbor across the street. We both have sets of them and will be returning them asap.
We’re both 9/11 survivors, lol the last damned thing we need is to survive that and then get taken out by some cheap chinese crap.

Thanks so much for posting 🙏👍

Btw, I just ordered some 3 ton replacements, made by USJACK, double pawl and proudly made in the US of A! 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

I just read a spy book where the Chinese set off a EMF bomb and it was programmed to destroy all communications and computers in the US. It also would cause all Chinese made jack stands and jacks to simultaneously collapse.
