I was looking for ways to have dry air for spraying, blasting and for my air tools. I looked at desiccant dryers but they would not last very long in the hot and humid south. I started looking at AC Compressor dryers and HF had the best price. Attached are pics of my hookup.
Nice! I have been trying to figure out a way to get dry air for my CNC router & laser machines. Seems that might do the trick, but I might just put AC into the garage to get around the humidity as the laser doesn't like to work in too humid of an environment due to the chiller in the tube coolant loop. A little more money as I need to go with a split unit, but might get two birds with one stone.
The HF unit does not come with a power cord and no valves or plumbing. I had to make my own power cord and figure out how I wanted to plumb the inlet and outlet.
Have you got a model number so I can look up the specs? I don't have a dryer but I'm in the process of using a pretty large condensor with a couple of electric fans mounted to it. It's not even in the same category as what you have but it should be better than nothing, at least that's what I'm hoping.
