it might just be me but this would make some great looking flares.

mig welders can be had for 100.00
practice and patience will take you far.

Never learned to arc weld, not even with a mig. I can gas weld like a champ, though. I'm afraid I'm too old to learn how to weld. Old dogs and new tricks, and all that...

Wow totally thought this post was about road flares....the kind you light and melt stuff with.....I got a little excited for a minute ......But this works too I guess

You and me both, i thought, home made flares, oh no this cant be a good idea.

Could so some stuff, i did a custom grill on my s10 bending some metal and a mig welder. arc, mig, gas, all pretty simple. Would love to learn tig tho

I have been toying with a spare set of front fenders for over a year now trying to do this. Guess I need to quit denting and replacing fenders and work on them.

I planned on using 3/4 EMT and the hand bender I have for it.
