Default How much does a sportster engine/transmission weigh?

I bought a Sportster engine and transmission from ebay and it will be delivered to a terminal. I was just wondering how heavy it is and how much work it will be to transport from the terminal to my garage. I'm also planning on putting it in the back of my Trailblazer. I'm pretty active and I lift weights but I don't know if it will be 75lbs, 100lbs, or 250lbs. Thanks.

Are you talking about a harley sportster? Is it a newer generation, or an old one? The '04 up 1200s are just under 600 pounds for the whole bike. I'd estimate the engine and transmission to be a little over 100 pounds. I've moved similar engines around the shop. I would have someone help you load it. The biggest problem is how awkward it is to move it without help.

Judging by mine, 150-170 pounds is a safe bet.
