and then they shipped it ovserseas to New Zealand! Did you buy it new? I bet there was a nice markup on the price due to shipping charges.

jimc1995 Have you ever owned a Ford? They are quality trucks, I had a 1992 F150 with 150K on it and quite frankly it had less problems than my 01 Blazer with 107k. Most people don't realize that ford created a quality control center in 2004 to ensure high quality parts. Not to mention that the F150 HAS BEEN THE BEST SELLING PICKUP IN AMERICA FOR 30+ YEARS.

Haha, that's you're opinion!!! . I'm assuming you have a valid reasoning for disliking fords?

never owned a ford so i cant give any horror stories, ive had quite a few chevy's tho with no major problems so i see no reason to make the switch plus fords seem to be lacking in the hp department.

true, im not leaning one way or another, but my blazer has $1680 of SES Repair work to be done which I find somewhat discouraging, not to mention several other blazer quirks.

I do though LOVE the newest Silverado's look, very clean!

the quirks i have are more of the annoying ones i.e. gas gauge, most of the money ive put into the blazer has been for regular maintance stuff so i cant really blame the blaze for that. i actually like the new sierra front end over the silvys

With GM doing all this rationalization to it product lines I'm wondering if Ford will drop their Ford range!

Yes i have owned two fords i had a 91 Ranger which was in the shop more than on the road and i had a 90 Ford T BIRD SC which was an alright car except u had to just have the key turned the right way to get it to start (also put 2000 into it) and every shop around here couldnt figure out y. I have owned my Grand Am now for 6 years longer than i owned both of them and have had to do nothing but regular maintance and i have had my Trans Am for two years have had to do a little more but its also 22 years old. So far never had any problems with the blazer. So in my experience GM is the way to go.
