Default Looking for a new truck

Ok guys, here's the deal. I'm looking to get another truck as I'll have the money to do so with my new job. My budget is around 10k - 20k, and seeing as the only 'truck' I've ever owned was my blazer I'd like some opinions from more experienced people. I need something with a back seat as well for the kiddos, doesn't have to be full sized, but not the tiny fold out side seats in extended cabs.

I've seen some 07 - 08 silverados for pretty cheap (~14k) with about 100k miles on the clock I've been interested in. They look good and it's in the chevy family.

I've also seen some good looking ram 1500s (about the same price, year, and mileage)

I really love the look of tacos, but they are a little pricey for the amount of truck you get (05 - 06, 150k+ miles for 17k to 18k)

Let me know what you guys think.

Have you driven any? That's where I'd start. Then, once I know what I'd like I'd start to collect information and narrow trucks down to the model and features I want/need.

I'm a Chevy guy all the way but my last purchase was a 98.5 Dodge 2500 24 valve Cummins extended cab short box - If you do any towing as I do on occasion plenty of power too do so

After owning S10's and Blazers for over 11 years if I had to get another truck in that price range I personally go Taco. I like that sporty offroad look and not being a full size truck. plus it reminds me a bit like my Zr2. S10 owners dig tacos!

How about the Colorado--and the GMC counterpart-- four door with the 3.6L V6? I guess the new version is still too new for there to be a used bargain. I like the looks and size of it. I would stay away from the Ram with the gasoline engines.
