My question now looking at new laptops, is would it really be worth the money and time to fix it. They don't even sell that processor new anymore, so I would have to buy a more powerful comparable processor. Then I need to buy a new fan cause that was acting weird and making nooses lately. Who know if I'll have to get a new heatsink while I'm at it. All said and done, I would most likely be spending about 200-300$. I can get a new Asus 15.6" laptop in black, 750gb hard drive, 8th memory for 550$ on bestbuy.com. If be saving myself a heap load of time and who knows if it's even really fixable. If it doesn't work I would have wasted 200$ on a processor. The S1 socket processors are not even really used anymore.
