Not that anyone's missed me I'm sure
but I've been rather busy lately at work. Long days and so on & on & on.
Yesterday got interesting as the fire alarms in the centre went off & the evacuation message was broadcast. So we went down to the food court (on the ground floor) & chased people out into the street. They're stupid, mostly, very few actually got their a***s off the seats to get out so we had to shout at them to get out. They were busy eating they said!
Anyway, went to the fire control panel outside & found water gushing out of the overflow.
Then got a call to say the food court was flooding fast!
By then the fire dept. were arriving (ALL OF 8 units!) LOL. Turns out that somehow a fire sprinkler in the storeroom of one of the food shops had burst.
We had water gushing out at an amazing rate. After investigating a bit the fire dept got the sprinkler system shut down. By now we were about 1" deep in water! The rest was flowing through the food court, down the emergency stairs, down the goods lift shaft & eventually into the a/c chiller room & lower basment of the book store.
Fortunatley for the book store only their carpets got soaked. Needed to be cleaned anyway! LOL
Only casualty was the cleaning supervisor! She slipped on the wet tile floor & cracked her head open (6 stitches).
All this started at just on 5.00 pm & just as I was packing up to go home! I eventually left the centre at 9.30 pm.
Spent today catching up on the paperwork - placing orders to contractors (lifts, a/c, electrical, cleaners, fire specialists etc.) that I had called out last night & filing reports for the Aussie (building) owners & insurance company.
And then still had to cope with issues on the other buildings we manage in the city.
So early to bed tonight.
Maybe next week will be quieter!

All I can say is you hit the nail on the head, when you said, "People are Stupid." I thought I was the only one that thought that way. Glad I'm not alone.
Glad you got stuff back in order.
