Pontiac 6000 Coil problem?
176k miles. Was running good then all of a sudden she started to run really ruff....lack of power too. I think this may be a power coil gone bad. Question I have is how can I find out which one is bad? Thanks for the help.

hehehe
My first car was a Pontiac 6000. It was an '87 though..
Mine died after it started running rough. Turned out to be a cracked header. Exhaust fumes and loud noises clued me in to that though...also notice the guts it had been steadily dropping on the road for the last year of its life..
At 176k miles though...have you tried any of the basic things? Spark plugs, Air filter, fuel filter, etc? There's so many things it could be with that kind of life..

Looks like it was the center pack. I just disconnected each plug until the motor ran more ruff than it already was. Replaced the pack, runs like a champ! Ready for another 176k miles! That is one of the most solid cars I've owned. Less problems that my Blazer!
