Banks..................

they luv to charge you up the *** for service fees.

but God fobid they ever have to pay a decent return, or swiftly admit/fix fault on their behalf.

took me almost 2 years to get a money transfer screw up (like Thomas, it was their fault) resolved with CIBC. and after 15 years of bankng with them, i had enough of their crappy service & excusses.

mind you, sometimes RBC is no different.

i still can't understand why i can't keep it under my matress. it's not like i'm gonna be making any more interest on it in the bank.

UPDATE, so I popped in this morning, the 17th to see if they have fixed it up yet, to be told that it was fixed the morning of the 15th... For crying out loud, thanks for the phone call to let me know... Ah well, at least its all fixed up now, and I think I am going to be buying gold with it now. I have a friend that owns pounds of gold and diamonds hes got in a safe. Its quite the sight to behold, and go knows what it may be worth. He claims that gold and precious gems are the best investment cause its value never goes down and always climbs and is legal to own. He used some of his gold as hard currency for a downlayment on his house. Maybe one day I can have my photo with a handful of diamonds, Ill ask. Oh and he owns a pawnshop, so the gold comes cheap!

I don't know about gems, but gold most certainly fluctuates. I'd say it's still a viable long term investment.
