Default Smart Phone = Scan tool?

Just wondering if anyone here has seen adds for the program that allows your IPhone to be a scan tool. From what I can tell the basic package(software) is free along with a $90 cable adapter to plug into OBDII ports. The program for the Iphones is GoLink. I know there is one for the droids but not sure exactly what it's name is. It would seem the basic package is nothing more then a MPG meter and other mildly help full data, but the $60 package would give you full real time sensor data. I'm looking to upgrade my phone to a smart phone and this would be one of the first things I invested in, if it's worth it. If it is worth it, it beats buying a nice Scanner from snap on.

I use an app called Torque on my Android phone together with a bluetooth OBDII adapter. Free version gives you nearly everything needed, including fault codes, there's also a full version for a couple bucks which gives you even more functions. Works great for me.

Well I have been reading reviews on it and some of the complaints are that the refresh rate is so slow on the live sensor data that it isn't very useful. Also in some reviews they complained you had to plug in your phone to your computer to get graphs of the data and such. These are only for the GoLink app reviews now I did find the Torque for android but haven't been able to find very many reviews on it.

You'll probably have to read reviews on the Android market if you haven't already.
