The motor in it wouldn't be a problem. My wife suggested a 12v Cummins 2wd in pro street form. By the way, here's a video of the most recent project out of the garage

a Pinto with anything bigger than the stock 4 banger is good. that 406 is just overkill!

Well thank you. We told the owner to bring his wheelie bars, but he didn't believe us. He had a motor built by a pretty big engine builder around here, and it NEVER ran right. We built the 406 in it now, and put a new 5500 stall converter in it, and it's ran as fast as 6.04 in the 1/8th mile, on wore out slicks and no tuning, we are hoping for a 5.99 this year.

Well I think I've settled on a 12 valve P-Pumped Cummins. I found one for a decent price, I really wanted a 4x4, but this one is 2wd. I'm getting it for the motor to do a swap later down the road... Blazer maybe???
