Thumbs down Venting....

SOOOOO my hood was in...

Ram air steel hood....

I would post pictures but still too frustrated...

Inspected the box by my father who ships items all the time and he said that the box showed no signs of damage... so he removed the outer box and left the smaller box in their conference room which isnt used....

I get home today... Chipper and ready to mount it to see what it looks like...

I wheel the box from the business to the fiances house and we put it in the garage and take off the old hood and get this one out of the box...

Oddly enough the ram air part has bubble wrap on it....

Take it off.... slide it out and mount it.... fits nicely...

EVEN HAS A CUSTOM DENT!!!!....

the box was dropped after we removed it and something in their garage put a hole on the side... but other than that it is flawless.... the bubble wrap was still even intact (the dent was behind it, and dented as if you pushed through the bubble wrap)

I call the company that sent it... "you signed, we cant help you..."

I am frustrated....

This company 1st.
Billed me for the item only, which I paid promptly and included additional for shipping.....
Then they refused to ship because I live in IL and they are located in IL and I did not pay sales tax. They then send me an invoice asking for sales tax. I pay it as soon as I get it.

Then 2nd. The boxes were not impacted during shipping and the bubble wrap on top of the dent was still intact...
This means to me that the bubble wrap was put on top of the already existing dent.....

I am frustrated, and they got negative ebay feedback.....

Just makes me want to pull my hair out!!!!!!!!!!!!

call them up or email them telling them you'll never do buisness as long as you live, and also tell them you'll tell everyone you know not to do buisness with them. make it sound like you have a lot of friends in high places. alot of times they'll make amends rather then losing future business

No one here do business with T*a*m*r*a*z parts in IL (pretty please....)

Sorry you feel that way. However, our records in ebay show we never sent you an invoice to pay. You automatically paid for it yourself, neglecting to add the sales tax. Being a college student, you should know that everyone in Illinois pays sales tax. If we were to invoice you, the amount would have been correct. We emailed you on the 18th asking for the additional money required for the sales tax and sent you a paypal money request, which you never paid. You did not pay the tax until the 29th. Your hood shipped shortly after that. If you would have completed the payment AND included the sales tax, you would have received your hood immediately.
You are obviously a newby to ebay, looking at your transactions. We have been in business for over 26 years and our feedback is exceptional. Being a civil engineer I'm sure you can figure that out by doing the math. Every item is inspected before shipping. We place stickers on boxes giving instructions, I'm assuming that you can read. Did you not see the stickers on the box stating that you need to inspect the hood or the instructions in our auction? Since you signed for the hood free and clear, there is nothing we can do for you. If you had inspected, per our instructions, you would have had a new hood on the way to you.
We have gone 26 years without you, and will continue without you. It's more your loss that ours. Bottom line is you were wrong on everything. YOU did not pay the Illinois sales tax, YOU did not inspect upon delivery. You did leave unfair feedback as it was your fault this happened.
Hopefully when you get your degree and get a job, your reading skills are accurate. Being a civil engineering student, you would think a large orange sticker on the box with a STOP sign on it, and the one in the auction would have caught your attention.
Regards,
Gina

I never received an invoice for sales tax until I called. Also, the tone is a little threatening/harassing.
I am still confused how a clean box + bubble wrap on the dent

Holly crap. That has to be the most pompous, condescending pile of **** ever. I can't imagine responding to a customer in that way. Even if they do believe that it's your fault there are ways of saying "I'm sorry sir, but you signed for the delivery we can not help you" with out being a 100% douchebag.
How bad is the dent? can you pound it out?

Man, I see your point on the bubble wrap. They never did address that aspect did they? I guess it's all your fault they hid something from you. Personally I've never had a delivery guy wait around while I unwrapped a package to inspect it. Has anybody else? Just curious. Don't worry. I won't do any business with them. But I guess it's my loss according to Gina there. Oh well. I suppose I'll just miss out on good deals like dented hoods and the like. Been buying stuff to be shipped in for about 35 years and I can't stand people and companies with the attitude displayed here. So what about the bubble wrap over the dent? Enquiring minds want to know. Did you tell the b***h you were going to post her response on the forum where thousands of people could read what sorry asses these guys are?

Ever hear of the "Better Business Bureau"? If I were you, I would threaten them with that. Tell them you will send a copy of their e-mail to the BBB and the will have a bad rep to everyone from now on. I wouldn't do it right away, e-mail them first. Let us know. http://www.bbb.org/

I actually have sent a copy to eBay as well as the company owner. I will call on monday and if there is not a resolution I will contact the bbb as well as a lawyer I know to inquire the possiblilities. I didn't let them know about the forum. But that could have been a nice thing for them to know. I would say that about 75 percent of people looking to go aftermarket get linked to the forum. I emailed the owner telling how I wish I could be driving with a new hood and that I really care less about how it is solved after that email just because now I have proof the ****ed up bad. But they puss me off.

Sorry for spelling errors. I am on my blackberry

like i said tell them a large percentage of blazer owners come through this site and from what it sounds like im defintly staying away from that company, keep us posted and i got some pretty good ideas for some letters for them if you need any ideas

also was the description on ebay when you bought it "new", cause a dented hood is not classified as new and this would be considered false advertising. also did you purchase shipping insurance if it was availible because that is suppose to insure against damage
