Yeah, I'd do it. I'd feel better about it if I had a new fuel pump cause mines way over due, but yeah.

That's blasphemy lmao anyways to answer the question at this point in time I would have to say no I wouldn't trust my Blazer due to the fact there are unknown problems with it still but after those are fixed I would definitely trust it on a 1k trip.

I would'a bought a Grand Cherokee.. at the right price. And expected to have to work on it a lot.. just as I did the Bravadiva.

\I'm sixty eight bub. You REALLY think I aint heard all those?
I owned plenty chevies.. including the one most'a you would drool over.

Been there done that.

No.. I dont know where the pix I have are. Black BelAir 2dr HT but had different wheels and Red/silver interior.
Otherwise pretty much looked like that: 283-270hp, Borg-Warner 4 speed, Hurst Comp Shifter. Stock Dual Exhaust {off a 290} Station Wagon Springs, Sun Tach, S-w 270 deg Oil Gauge.
Fun to drive.. reliable as hell... though I did blow the engine 2 miles into a trip to Cedar point. LUCKY!

But sheer joy of driving.. couldnt hold a candle to this:

I put 130,000 miles on that little sweetheart. no that's not exactly a Mustang. It's an SVO.
From the factory: 2.3L OHC, 18 lb boost turbo intercooled, recaro style seats on Lincoln MkVII running gear.

Shucks Petty! I'm a guy who likes to make people laugh.
My folks own a dodge, I've owned a hyundai before the chevy. One of my best friends owns a ford. I'm an equal opportunity offender.

And yes I like the bel-air and I do appreciate the classics. That being said, I've drove two classics in my life. A '56 Chevy Bel-Air and a '70 Chevy Nova. Both pro-street, both would whoop just about anything in a straight line. The '56 had no power steering of course and I had never driven anything without that, so it took some muscle and time. The '70 had power steering but when you put your foot in it, that rear end whipped like nothing I've done before. I'm still young and have plenty of lessons to learn, but I know where you're coming from. We share some of the same experiences.

Btw fastforward, here is a whole list for ya.

HONDA - Horsepower Option Never Did Appear
DODGE - Drips Oil, Drops Grease Everywhere
JEEP - Just Eats Every Part
PORSCHE - Proof Of Rich Spoiled Children Having Everything
FIAT - Fix It Again Tony!
FIAT - Feeble Italians Attempting Transportation
CHEVROLET - Car Has Excessive Valve Rattle On Long Extended Trips
CHEVROLET - Cheap Heap, Every Valve Rattles, Oil Leaks Every Time
SAAB - Swedish Automobile, Always Broken
GMC - Garage Man's Companion
BMW - Big Money Waste
BMW - Break my Window
TOYOTA - The One You Ought To Avoid
BUICK - Butt Ugly Idiotic Crap Kicker
PONTIAC - Poor Old Nut Thinks Its A Cadillac
OLDSMOBILE - Old Ladies Driving Slow Make Others Behind Infuriatingly Late Everyday
ACURA - Asia's Curse Upon Rural America
HYUNDAI - Hope You Understand, Nothing's Driveable And Inexpensive
MOPAR - My Only Problems Are Repairs
PLYMOUTH - Please Leave Your Money Out Under The Hood
FORD - Found On Road Dead
FORD - Fix Or Repair Daily
