Default dropped blzr spring help

hi. when i got my truck last year i dropped it quite a bit..but the rear is still higher, and i want it to be even with the front
i need just about another inch but im layed off so i cant buy anything lol

but i heard you could take out one of the leafs in the leaf springs..
i just have 2 questions really....
(1) can someone show me which leaf to take out and how?
(2)is it really that safe to take a spring outs the leaf spring?

What type of drop do you have right now? There may be other things you can do.

You can pull the bottom leaf out. You unbolt it from the axle, undo the clamps, then undo the center bolt, the bottom one will fall off. Be careful of the load on the springs.

Well at a lowered stance by now you should be use to avoiding holes and sewer covers in the road!!(at least I hope) Taking out the very bottom leaf will be fine, as long as you keep this in mind, slowly go over speed bumps and avoid all potholes and sewer covers as possible!! But on the other hand I have to ask what size drop block do you have in the rear???

theyre not going to break if i remove it are they lol

i have to avoid everything when i drive, only cuz my rims stick out further than the tire.

Well if you only want one more inch, then step up to a 4 inch tapered drop block I have that in the rear of mine!!! and I use all my leafs and factory shocks but if you can't track down or spend the money on them just take out the bottom most leaf and you will be fine and you wont ruin anything by doing that. People mono leaf the rear of mini's and ride like that for years with no problems!!

yea i was gonna get the 4" angled block...i found it online for like 25 bucks i think.
but here is the thing....
i have a 3" block in there now...and the rear shocks rub against the sway bar.
i thought if i got the 4" ones it would be worse

Mine don't rub at all on my sway bar plus I left all my leafs in the rear!! Put it this way all I did to the rear of mine is add 4 inch tapered drop blocks thats it oh and the extended U bolts but thats it and I don't have any problems with the rear at all!! I will be cutting out my bump stops here soon and mono leafing the rear of mine to drop it lower till I can bag and 4 link the rear of mine!!

edit: i was gonna put my summer rims on this week, and was just wonderin if someone knew about how long it would take to remove the leaf from the leaf spring? if its a wicked pain ill just get the 4" blocks

your shocks arent hittin the sway bar? the rear of a 4x4 is the same as a 2 wheel drive isnt it?
i think im prolly just gonna get the 4" blocks.
but here is the deal....
another inch in the rear, my truck will sit even..
so im kinda confused on which way the angle of the block should go.
im sure ill figure it out when im actually under there tho
