Just a little not young by no means girl trying to fix a blazer..... I love blazers. This is my 3rd one. Both of the first two were involved in accidents. First one was totalled second one i still have and actually bought another one for body parts but with a little tinkering i think i can get it running. I am not a mechanic just buy repair manuals and follow instructions and compare with the pictures.

There's lot of good knowledge on this board and if you learn to use the search feature here most likely any problem you have has been discussed here. Also, Google is your friend. I use it all the time for my Blazer but just remember to double check any info you read. There's a lot if incorrect stuff out there.

Thank you. I know google has been my best friend. It can be hard to find exactly what your looking for sometimes. I go thru the forums and sites all the time and can usually find what im looking for. This is the first time ive ever joined a forum to be able to ask questions. Ive done things like changes starters fuel filters spark plugs. I even tried to adjust a low reverse band in a car i had once. And kinda did. Not to torque specifications because i didnt know that was a special tool when i started. It seemed alot easier when i read about how to do it in book. It took me a month to get to it and put it back together to see if it even worked. I live in country without a parts store anywhere close but it atleast started going in reverse somewhat but went bk out b4 to long. I felt good about that. Then gave the car to a friend in hopes he would have better luck.
I honestly have no clue what im doing if i do its a small one and should prob leave to someone who does. But have had more success then failures working on my own vehicles. Its crazy how 5 minutes of misdirection can result in weeks of corrections just to get bk where you orginally began. Ive got a more then a few humorous stories while sharpening my non mechanic skills. I started doing my own mechanics prob over 10years ago out of necessity. I was a single mom who couldnt afford a mechanic and my brother. Bess his heart was unsucessfully trying. I lived so far from parts store it wasnt like i could run back and forth everyday to pickup whatever. It all worked out somehow and now here i am and its more of a hobby. I am proud i can fix things most women cant. Im 5ft even and 105 pds. So im pretty little and my hands can fit in places most cant.

Sounds like you're off to a good start. Nobody is born knowing how to work on stuff, it's all learned. The hardest part is being willing to jump in and get your hands dirty, and it sounds like you already got that down.
