Default 2000 ls blazer

My 2000 Blazer 4x4,has a problem shifting from 2HI to 4hi,when the button is pushed on the fly from 2HI to 4HI,It doesnt make a sound,it doesnt do anything, except neutral out the transmission. The selector switch flashes and shows its shifting to 4HI,but it neutrals out the tranny.I have to pull over and reengage 2HI to drive. When sitting still,it does not engage in 4HI either.Ive checked the front driveshaft,it spins and it still neutrals out the tranny.Ive pretty much checked the system out visually for vacuum lines, wiring, actuater under battery, but havent checked out TCCM and plugin,T-CASE plugin and switch, and vacuum lines on intake manifold.Ive just bought this truck, and practically looks and drives new.Is this a common problem? and any and all suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!!! Thanks,RobD S10 lover for 11years!!!!! and counting.
