Hi everyone, I am working on a 2001 GMC Sonoma 4.3 L . Intake manifold gasket needed replacing and I inadvertently removed the upper intake. For some reason the manifold will not slide down all the way past the fuel meter. Any ideas? it would seem that it needs to drop another quarter inch to mate up to the lower manifold.

 

use some fogging oil or any sort of combustable light oil and lubricate the O-ring for the injection spider, then tap it down making sure it seats level and flat with the top of the flange.
