Another Canadian Checking In
Hey there, my name is Derrek and I'm from Guelph, Ontario. This isn't my first S10 chassis but it is my first Blazer. It's a 1996, 4 door, 4X4, "Mountain Edition" (I would appreciate some knowledge as to what is special about this edition ), with 294,000km on it. The whole drivetrain was rebuilt about 50,000km ago so it drives like new. Any rust it had was fixed last year. Right now my plans are just pretty much get it on the road, after that I have some 31's off of my old Sonoma that I'm going to be putting on. That is my short term goal for it and wil provide updates in my build thread. Now on to a couple pics of the rigs past and present.
This was my '96 Sonoma before a lady hit me and totalled it. 6" lift, 2" body lift, torsion bar crank, 33x12.5 MTZ, Cammed 5.7 Vortec out of a '99 Tahoe, Built 4L60E trans, 4.11 gears, locker in the rear. Lots of fun. . .
Haven't washed it yet.

That Sonoma looks real good. Pity it's gone. But then, the Blazers better j/k LOL

Thanks for the reply's. I loved my sonoma, it had a lot of time put into it to build it just the way I wanted it. I was thinking about picking up another pick up but I'm a big guy and the single cab did not have enough room in it, and I'm not a fan of the 4 door S10's (no offence to anyone that owns one ) so I figured I'd start with a Blazer this time.
