Hey all - I'm sort of new again here; didn't log in for 9 months. That's enough time to have a baby, which I did in a way

Spent last 9 months rescuing a little 40 yr old British car from death by abandonment; proud to say its now sharing DD duties with my '99 2 dr LS 5 speed. The Blazer's jealous after 12 yrs of DD haha. But it dont get 31 MPG highway does it.

So the other car's out of intensive care; hope to catch up on Blazer business

At one time, if I recall Ac Delco and or/ Bosch sold replacements for anything under the hood that said Lucas Electric on it.

Thanx Giovanni - no, the 'baby' was the little car . 1972 MG B/GT w/ only 90K miles, abandoned in storage since 1994, left to me by my late uncle, needing 9 months of intense rehab to get it in show cond. That was the "enough time to have a baby" part LOL

It's running so good I cant keep my hands off it - poor Blazer here has taken a back seat till gas prices come down.

Haha yep that's been the commonly held idea for decades, but in this case the ORIGINAL Lucas starter and lil' 32 amp alternator are still doin' just fine! I had the orig. Lucas dist. rebuilt/recurved by Advanced Distributors to better than new, fitted a Lucas 40,000 volt coil, and gone thru every "notorious" Lucas bullet connector on the car - all clean and tight Fusebox bead blasted and now perfect. All lighting now halogen or LED, w/ relays on everything

The ghost of Sir Joseph Lucas "The Prince of Darkness" knows to stay away from this lil' MG hehe
