Hey guys, a new member here. I have a 2002 LS 4x4 Blazer, 5-speed manual. I recently added a custom hood with 2" spacers and a 2" suspension lift. I'd like to add a body lift to bring up the rear a couple more inches. Has anyone combined a suspension lift and a body lift? How'd it work out for you?
It would be cheaper and easier to put in 2" lift shackles than a body lift. And if you do put in a body lift, you will still have the infamous saggy rear end these Blazers/Jimmy's are famous for.
I had 2" shackles installed and it did help with the saggy rear end but still not satisfied. Good to know I can add a body lift and get some more height back there. Thanks.
If you're looking to address the saggy rear end you'd probably be better off going with either new or re-arched springs, or with an add-a-leaf.
If you go with an add-a-leaf the best results would be to find a used leaf pack, and use the main leaf with the eyes cut off the end so that it supports the whole length of your factory main leaf. I found (as did others) that the add-a-leaf kits you can buy helped, but they weren't long enough so the main leaf tended to just start sagging past the un-supported section and you end up with a 'W' shaped main leaf.
You can't put a body lift just on the rear, so you would still have the same problem of it sitting lower in the back. You could always put the axle under the springs, but that would give you something like 5" of lift, just in the rear. Maybe if you took out the add-a-leaf and the lift shackles...

Appreciate the feedback guys. I'm gonna look into axle under springs idea. I think back end could handle 5" and look pretty sick. Front end already has a 3" lift. Thanks fellas.
