Default Hello, New Guy On Board

Just wanted to pop in and introduce myself to the forum members. I'm Will and I have a 95 Chevy K1500 4WD truck, a 97 Blazer 4WD and a Case 580K backhoe. Just if anyone is interested. I will be searching the forum on some Blazer issues I am having so I may need to post some questions in the appropriate areas here if I can't nail down the solutions. Anyway, just wanted to say hey here and say I'm glad I found you all.

Welcome to the forum!

Pre 96 k1500s are my favorite trucks, I've had a couple too.

I'm sure you'll find plenty of info to help you through your blazers problems here

Thanks for the welcome in chevyriders. I hear ya on the pre 96 K1500. I must say that I have worked this truck well beyond the normal call for duty and she has been there for me every time. I bought it used at 3 years old and 75,000 miles and now she has passed the 250,000 mile mark and still ready and waiting for work every time. It has its issues but I can't complain any at all about its reliability over the years. I'm a deep chevy man from way back and every chevy truck I ever owned I have worked like a dog and proud of them all for passing the work tests I have put them through.

Going back to my K1500 for a second here, I was never more proud of her than the time I had just put 4 new Dunlop Radial Mud Rovers on it and pulled up to this job that was pure swamp land. All the other contractors had parked on the road and carried their stuff through the mud on foot. I said I'm not doing that, so I put it in 4WD and pulled right up to the job. At the end of the day they all gathered in a group to watch me try to get back out of this swamp. I climbed in the seat and said, okay baby, lets put em on a show. We did. I was rooster tailing mud on all four tires and eased right back out to the street. Their jaws dropped and i left a trail of mud on the road for a good 1/4 mile or more.

The s10 blazer are good little trucks, but I tell you, Im really hard on my trucks, and I've never broken a front end component of one of my k1500s... Not once. And I launched them of jumps and wheeled them regularly - on the blazer side, I've snapped ball joints, CV axles, tierods, and had the hub's fall right apart on me.(not to dog the blazers, I love these things too)

Nice to hear you've had good luck with your k1500 for so long, What engine is in it?
