Default Hello from Oregon 1994 S10 Blazer

Hello Blazer Community,

I recently purchased a 1994 S10 Blazer 4X4 with 48k miles. This is my first Blazer and I am a novice (to put it politely) when it comes to vehicle mechanics, but I want to take good care of this old beast and keep it as my primary driver for the next decade or so. It obviously was not driven a whole lot over the last 25 years, and sounds like it. The whole truck

sounds like it could use some grease and the exhaust is pretty loud and obnoxious. Additionally, I am hoping to make minimum modifications to set it up nicely for mountain biking and camping trips A couple questions regarding that plan:

1. Tires: The car still has factory tires which are pretty shot. Pretty sure the current size is either P205/75R15 or P235/75R15. Either way they look pretty small and wondering if I can go bigger without a lift.

2. Bike Rack: Has anyone out there mounted a bike rack on the spare tire in the rear? Wondering if the hinge could hold the extra weight of the rack plus two bikes (75lbs or so)

Thanks is advance for the help!

That's a very nice looking blazer. For the bike rack, I'm not sure. I have a second gen, and I installed one from a 2door onto my four door. I use a strap to the roof rack to take the excess weight off the hinges when I have the bikes on it.

Welcome to the Forum... P235 75 R15 is pretty much the standard tire size...

Nice 1st gen. Welcome to the Blazer Forum.

Keep the rust away! These are getting rare in good conditions.
