New to 6 cylinder ownership, I've been in v8s since I could drive. But my '96 trans am was just having problem after problem, so I decided to sell it. I wanted something with more space but was still fun, not terrible on fuel, that I could drive a lot, and not have to worry about. So I thought a blazer would be perfect. A car dealer friend of mine noticed I was selling my trans am I told him about it, and told him I wanted a blazer. He said he a blazer and was telling me about it, down side it needed head gaskets. I'm a mechanic so that's no problem for me, so I traded him straight up. The blazer got here, and it's one of the nicest blazer I've seen, If the pen stripes weren't torn up you'd think it was fresh of the showroom floor.

So I tore into the engine, got the heads off, the valves needed to be reseated, and the heads needed to be resurfaced, I should get them back from the machine shop Monday.
While it's torn apart I'm replacing the timing chain, and water pump, just to be safe.

Already installed an aftermarket radio, and subwoofers, gonna get new speakers, a grille guard, and a trailer hitch.

Also painting the engine orange, because chevy.
