Default K5 rear glass issue

hey guys, so i picked up my 1990 blazer 1500 (not REALLY a k5 but hey...) a couple days ago and im tearing into the interior. when i hit the rear hatch switch on the dash i can hear the motor but the glass wont go down. how can i get it go down or get the hatch to open??? so that i can open it up and figure out where the issue is. thanks a lot guys

is it the older style one where the window is supposed to go down. the newer ones swing open, if its the k5 style theres a access panel in the trunk. you just have to climb your butt back there with a screw driver and take off the 20 screws that hold it on then you can see everything. if its the newer one, probably the same thing thought its all plastic and might have a issue pulling it away

theres a way to see if the motors alright

you just need to test the voltage at the harness
like this
Diagnosing and replacing a power window motor

this is sorta for an other truck but testing the voltage is the same process

ive seen those cables get all twisted up and not work. you can try disconnecting the cable off the motor then putting a pair of pliers on it and spin it, it should spin somewhat easy.

every k5 ive owned with a power rear window has been a pain in the butt.
