Talking Long Island checking in,been lurking tho!

Hiya!
I bought a 2001 Blazer LS 4 door for my wife, who longed for a Blazer for years. I bought it back in 2019 from a used car dealer. During the drive back home,it started raining, and quickly discovered the wiper blades were shot. We passed a Walmart on the way so we went there, and bought a pair and installed them while it was still mad raining! We did get home OK after that.In the three years since,I joined this forum-I am no stranger to car forums, but I noticed how each one is run a bit different from the others out there. For the cars my family has/had,the forum has helped me in numerous situations, and in some cases, contributed an item or two from stuff learned along the way.
Fast forward three years and there's been numerous issues now,and I'm slowly trying to fix them. Most are maintenance, but a few, well,it's quirks of the car. My wife calls it her "rust bucket" but has been glad it handles well in the snow. As far as parts from the boneyards, there's little to none for Blazers. I wonder why that is?

Anyway, hope to be here for a while...

Glad to have you here! As you know, this is the place for help on all things Blazers!

As for why you are few in the boneyards, I'm guessing that will be due to their normal life expectancy where you are. Out west, we still have quite a few in our yards which I attribute to the lack of salt used on our roads. (Although that changed recently here in Idaho. Grrrr). For were you are in the NE, I'm not surprised that you don't have many. Just last weekend at a U-Pull yard in Spokane, I had up to a dozen 2nd gen Blazers, Jimmys, and Bravadas to chose parts from.
