New Blazer Owner In NC

Thanks for the welcomes everyone!
I've had it for a few weeks now, and of course there's a few issues.
First, the gas gauge is sort of wonky. It jumps from half or full to empty periodically. From what I've read, this is a very common problem. I'm starting off going the least expensive route for now. I'm putting a bottle of Chevron Techron in the tank every time I fill up. If this doesn't work, I'm going to check out the sending unit. If anyone has any other suggestions, I'd appreciate it.
Second, I'm unable to use the parking lights. When I start it up, the day-time running lights come on along with the parking lights. I'm going to take a look at the switch this weekend and see if that's the problem. Again, if anyone has some other suggestions, I'd appreciate it.
Besides those two issues, it runs great!

welcome from a fellow new member and one in SC to boot! Your wonky gauge - you'll have to replace the fuel pump to fix it, but it will fix it. The same thing happened to me. The sending unit is made on the pump, and for the amount of effort it takes to pull the pump and for as bad to fail as they are, just go ahead and replace it. There are a lot of disabling the ADL posts, but for now you can push your parking brake down one click, and they should go off. Or, you can push the 'override' button on your dash 2-4 times, and they will go off. You will have to do this everytime you start the truck tho..
I kind of figured I'd have to get a new fuel pump. I agree with your reasoning that if I'm going to replace the sending unit, I might as well do it right and change the whole thing.
I found a post about using the override and have been using that. It's not a big deal.
Thanks again!
