Hello everyone. I'm an old dinosaur who has finally entered the world of computer controlled, fuel injected vehicles. I held out as long as I could but recently bought a 93 S10 Blazer as my next project. My son has a 94 S10 Blazer and a 93 S10 Blazer parts car which I had hoped to rob a few parts from but I am discovering that parts aren't as easy to rob on these new cars as on the older ones.
Thanks lenny. I had hoped to swap the dash pad from the parts car into mine but it looks like the whole dash has to come out to get it. Way different from old Chevelles, Suburbans, Impalas, etc.
Oh yeah, now i see what you are talking about. That there is more stuff to pull out to get just a single part. I was going to say finding OEM parts is fairly easy, aftermarket it gets a little harder. I am not sure how you would go about getting that dash pad out, as it seems to be a PITA to get it out on my 98.

WLB, I'm another dinosaur that entered the modern world 12 years ago with my '88 K1500 short bed. Now it will be an '01 Extreme that takes it's place. Without the help of this forum putting my fears to rest, I wouldn't have bought it. I have a lot of learning to do, but with having old school knowledge I'm more than half way there. From one new member to another, good to have ya aboard!
