Hey all i'm new to the forum i am possibly getting an 88 chevy blazer 2 door with the 4.6 liter v6 in it. It has a couple problems but it will be a good truck if its all fixed, now my first question is how good of gas mileage do these get stock? And also how hard is it to swap a v8 into it? i have heard it isn't to bad you just gotta change a few things. What type's of things do you have to change i would probably want a carburated big block or possibly something else what do you guys perfer now i don't have a huge wallet to work with but i would save up and do everything at once.

Well coming from a FullSize Blazer with a V8... I don't get too nice of gas mileage I think when it was stock she got around 12ish Highway...
As for the engine swap... no idea. but I know my 88 has a whole bunch of electronics that the Carbs don't have... I'm sure there's a way to get rid of all that stuff tho. And if you beef up the engine you might wanna beef up the Tranny as well.
