New to the forum...
Hello from Canada! With the weather here FINALLY warming up, i had a look at my long parked jimmy, and decided to get it back on the road. Made a quick search online and found this forum, joined, and then was able to quickly diagnose and change out a multi-function switch, (and consume a beer or two in the process).
I have a 99 jimmy SLS, with 318,000 km, and am just gearing up for one heck of an overhaul. Hittin the junkyard tomorow for random parts, and hopefully doing u-joints this weekend.
Thanks in advance for all the assistance im sure i will be seeking!

Thank you so much for the warm welcome!! I am thrilled at the idea of finally doing something with my jimmy. The poor beast has been parked for awhile as both the multifunction switch and u-joints, (I think), started acting up.
Then it had to get pushed way to the back burner when i started rebuilding an '87 Jag XJSC, (and i may have bit off more than i could chew with that one!! but its slowly coming together, just starting to rewire that monster).
With the warm weather upon me, and the rocky mountains on the horizon calling my name, i have realized the only way i will be able to get back camping again, will be to finally get the jimmy running tip top again.
Once again, thank you for all the help im sure to recieve...and now; off to search the threads on lift kits
